Description

At Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe, these cabins used to sit on the shore. William Armstrong operated these cabins from the late 1800s until Vikingsholm Castle was built in 1929. The steamer Tallac is stopped at the pier.

Source Caption: The photo is William Armstrong's cabins in Emerald Bay taken around 1891. The steamer is Lucky Baldwin's TALLAC which after having some fire damage was repaired renamed the Nevada When it became part of D.L.Bliss' fleet.
