Source Caption: The year is 1949 and time is rapidly running out for Nevada's Virginia & Truckee Railroad. This would be her last full year of operation. On this sunny afternoon, V&T 4-6-0 #26 and her short passenger train has just arrived from Carson City, having left Minden, Nevada earlier in the day. Bay Area railfan, L.L. Bonney is on hand to capture the casual atmosphere surrounding the arrival of the V&T's little train of wooden cars.

Seeing this image and the one from a few days ago certainly makes one think that it would have been fun to hang around this Reno station each afternoon to see just what kind of trains arrived to stop there.
