Description

A parade float in Virginia City. The parade was held in 1909, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first discoveries on the Comstock. This float was a miniature Mount Davidson, with a sign announcing the $700 million worth of ore that was pulled out of the ground. To the left, you can see the float is parked in front of the Virginia Garage, currently home to the Bonanza Saloon.
