Source Caption: I love this shot of the bar at the Silver Queen Hotel in Virginia City, Nevada. July 1958. The Silver Queen, which opened in 1876, is Virginia City's oldest hotel. Some of the fun things in the photo include a mention of Turkey Eye at the piano, a sign on the horns which reads "Keep your temper - no one else wants it" and the Jackpots Paid Today sign with a reading of 001. 35mm slide from our archive.
