Description

A car full of people get out and pose at Johnson Pass, the highest point of the old Lincoln Highway between Tahoe and Placerville. This route over the Sierras was originally a wagon and stagecoach road, and with the advent of the automobile became part of the Lincoln Highway. It was bypassed by the Echo Summit route a little bit to the south, which Hwy 50 still uses.
