Source Caption: V&T 4-6-0 #27 at Virginia City, NV in 1972. The #27 was the last new locomotive acquired by the V&T (Baldwin 1913). Received a steel cab from SP 4-4-0 #1458 in 1940. The fake "sunflower" stack was first applied in 1947-48 for excursions. Retired in 1948 but received ICC approval to operate for final V&T runs. The fake stack was reapplied for these trips.
