New Years' Eve in downtown Reno, December 31, 1979. A large riot broke out in downtown on this night, and the police had to use tear gas to disperse the crowd. This shot of downtown is framed by the Reno Arch, with the Riverside Hotel in the distance. Signs can be seen for Harold's Club, Harrah's, Onslow, and the Mapes Money Tree.
