Description

Looking north on Carson Street from Sixth in 1939. In the distance on the left, past Fifth Street, are buildings that are still standing today. The Bank Saloon sign can be seen, and the St. Charles Hotel is the far distance. What is more remarkable, though, are the buildings closer in. These are buildings that have been gone for decades. On the right is the Pozzi Motor Company. On the left are a couple of buildings that I can't quite make out, but that is where the Ormsby House was later built.
