V&T Freight Train

A Virginia and Truckee train is spotted here on the seldom-photographed freight line on Caroline Street. The freight line was one block south of the main passenger line on Washington Street. There was a separate freight depot on Caroline Street that serviced the freight line. These tracks also crossed Carson Street, and merged with the main line to the west of town. The locomotive on this train is #27. The passenger depot can be seen behind the locomotive.
