Description

In the early 20th century there was a railroad trestle over the water in Tahoe City, in front of Swallow Cliffs at Commons Beach. This appears to be a Southern Pacific locomotive making the trip across the trestle. That would place the photo after 1926, when the SP converted the tracks to standard gauge to accommodate larger locomotives like this one.
