Source Caption: The coundown begins: Six days until the Glenbrook unveiling! Here is the Glenbrook working on the Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Company. The Glenbrook was built for the C&TL&F in 1875 and hauled lumber from Glenbrook, Nevada, on the shores of Lake Tahoe, to Spooner Summit in the Carson Range. From Spooner Summit the lumber zipped down flumes into the Carson City flume yard located at the present site of the Nevada State Railroad Museum. Then, the Virginia & Truckee transported the lumber from Carson City to the Comstock. The Glenbrook operated on the C&TL&F until 1898.
