V&T Excursion

A Virginia and Truckee excursion train hauls tourists into Virginia City in 1938. Locomotives #11 and #27 had to leave their cars behind at Gold Hill, so passengers climbed onto the tender. This view is from the former Tunnel #5 at the south end of town. The railroad's enginehouse is seen in the distance.
