The McKeen Motor Car #22. This motorized car was used by the Virginia & Truckee Railroad to save the costs of running a full steam train. It was able to carry a few passengers, mail, and light freight, which most days was all the V&T had to transport.
The car was built in Omaha Nebraska, and this photo was taken during its trip west to Nevada. This is reportedly along the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
