Description

While the Reno Train Trench was being built, the Union Pacific tracks were rerouted along Commercial Row. This view looking west from Center Street shows the Fitzgerald's Casino on the left, and the Fitzgerald's Rainbow Bridge in the center. This bridge was built so pedestrians could cross the tracks even when a train was blocking the street. The bridge was demolished after the trench was done.
