This photo of the Justice of the Peace at the Storey County Courthouse was taken by James Farrar in the autumn of 1941, He was in town to get married, and he and his bride tied the knot at the Justice of the Peace office here.

James passed away in 1982. His son Max scanned these photos, which were taken on Dufaycolor film, one of the early color film stocks for amateur photographers.

I visited the Storey County Courthouse last summer and found out that the date of the marriage was 24th May 1941. If this man is the Justice of the Peace, his name is William P. Pollard.
