Nevada State Museum

Description
The Nevada State Museum on Carson Street, housed in the former U.S. Mint Building at Carson and Robinson. The annex in the back was brand new at this point; it offered expanded display space for the museum. On the left is the locomotive "The Glenbrook," which was on display outside the museum for decades.

The Mint became the Nevada State Museum and had been so for some time by the time this photo was taken. The museum annex in the right side of the photo, was built in the late 60's or early 70's. Notice the locomotive engine in the left of the photo. I recall it being there since at least 1966. There is also a replica of the Liberty Bell with a "painted-on" crack. You can see the bell to the right of the locomotive engine.

I can place the locomotive back to summer of 1964. I have a photo of it from a family vacation.
