Description

The Fireside Inn was tucked away on Proctor Street back behind the Sweetland Building, at the northwest corner of Proctor and Plaza streets. By the early 90s it was way past its prime and looking for a new owner to buy and renovate it.

That new owner came in the form of the State of Nevada, who bought the building and fixed it up to serve as office space. The building is now the home of the Nevada Commission on Economic Development.
