Description

The southwest corner of Second and Carson streets is seen here, with the building on the corner abandoned and boarded up. This corner was originally the home of the original Ormsby House; it was demolished in the 1940s and this brick building erected in its place. It remained empty through much of the 1980s, but was later renovated into a real estate office.

A sign advertising the Great Basin Art Gallery, on Curry Street, hangs on the building. To the left of the building is the Knit Shop and E.M. Perkins Co, and beyond that Liberty Jewelry and Loan.
