I grew up in Carson City (1964 - 1989); Murdock's wasn't a restaurant - it was a clothing store. In the late 70's, Bing Blood moved his business - The Gent's Den (a barbershop) into the rear (Curry Street side) of the building, through an agreement with Roger Murdock. Murdock's main competition was "Wilburs Men's Store." In the 80's The Gent's Den was located in the basement level of The Carson Nugget.
