George's Restaurant is seen here on a snowy day in 1985. George's was located on the east side of Carson Street, a little bit south of Tenth. The George's sign is topped with a martini glass. The marquee on the roof advertises the "Silver Dollar Lounge", although several of the letters are missing. In the front window a prospector has been painted, promoting their daily specials and their biscuits and gravy. A fiberglass cow stands on the roof, keeping watch over the dumpy 80s cars in the parking lot.
George's later was bought by the Carson Station and became the Station Grill.
