Source Caption: Sagebrush Headlight Vol 15, No 1 Winter 1994: "On December 21, (1993) Virginia & Truckee locomotive No. 27 was moved from Gold Hill to the Nevada State Railroad Museum for restoration. Last May, the engine was moved from Virginia City to Gold Hill and placed in a location that was suspected to be virtually impossible to access with trucks and cranes. Research began immediately on the locomotive and the efforts, led by NSRM Assistant Curator Kyle Wyatt, will culminate in a completed study early May (1994)."
