Source Caption: Imagine you are standing on the corner of Pioneer Trail and Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe around 1892 looking down Highway 50 towards Harvey's. After William "Billy" Lapham's Lakeside House burned down E.B. "Starvation" Smith rebuilt a new hotel. At the time of this photo the California/Nevada state line went through the center of this building. A few years later the state line will be moved to where it is today. This building is almost directly across the street from where Raley's is today. (Saga LT 2)
