The Virginia & Truckee engine house in the waning years of the railroad. A locomotive can be seen peeking out through one of the open doors. Most of the other stalls were empty, since by this time the railroad had very few locomotives left. It seems like many of the rails had been pulled up or routed around the turntable, so the turntable itself looks like it would be been locked to just one track, and not need to move.
