Description

The main office of the Savage Mining Company, at 146 South D Street in Virginia City. By the 1930s the office was run down and in bad shape. Later in the 20th century it was fixed up and is now one of the premier "mansions" on the Comstock. This view of the mansion shows the top floors from C Street. A view down Six Mile Canyon is seen to the left, with Sugarloaf peak in the distance.
