In 1972-73 the Carson Nugget's garish yellow and red facade was renovated during an expansion. This grainy photo, taken at the beginning of the work, shows the corner of Carson and Robinson Streets, before dismantling began. The tall sign above the casino rotated. The Rosser Building, at the near corner, was demolished and a new Nugget expansion built on the site.
