Poor Pete's Casino was at the railroad tracks in downtown Reno, right across the street from the Reno Arch. The address was 275 N. Virginia Street. Poor Pete's was only open in 1963 and 1964, and closed after the owner passed away.

In the background is the Harold's Club pigeon-hole parking garage.

Owner Pete Perinati passed away just 6 months after his casino opened… on Christmas…at the age of 44. Reno Gazette-Journal, January 3, 1963 “Peter Perinati plans an investment of $50,000 to open the new club, across Commercial Row from the Silver Dollar casino, to be called Poor Pete's.” Nevada State Journal, December 26, 1963, p.21 'Poor Pete's' Operator Dies - The most recent of Reno's Casino Row gaming club operators, Peter J. Perinati, 44, died yesterday morning in a local hospital. He was owner and operator of 'Poor Pete's," at Commercial Row and North Virginia Street… Mr. Perinati, who opened the casino here in June, was from Sacramento. For many years he owned and operated a vending machine business there. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Joy L. Perinati.
