Source Caption: This photo is Friday's Station. From what l understand around 1860 a new toll road opened over Daggett Pass (Kingsbury) which required a new station for the Pony Express. Martin K. "Friday" Burke and John W. Small had 320 acres on which build a station. by 1893 the land was owned by John Averill and later around 1898 it was owned by David Brooks Park (Nevada Historical Society) (Saga LT2 E.B. Scott) (Peter Goin "South Lake Tahoe Then and Now")
