Description

The machine shops of the Lake Tahoe Railway and Transportation Company Railroad at Tahoe City. These shops were to the north of Swallow Cliffs on the waterfront. The locomotive is #1 The Glenbrook. At this time it was being stored unused, as the engine is narrow gauge and the railroad had been converted to standard gauge in 1926. Also stored is the Valkyrie, the wooden boat used by Lora Knight at Vikingsholm.
