Description

South Stewart Street is seen, near the intersection with Tenth. On the left is the Copeland Lumber barn, which was formerly the Carson Box Factory. The tracks of the Virginia and Truckee Railroad can be seen running alongside the weeds of Stewart Street. This was the Minden branch of the V&T. Copeland Lumber was at the south end of town and from here the tracks ran through the sagebrush to the Carson Valley. In the distance a train approaches.
